After months of predictions, speculation, and excitement, the 86th Annual Academy Awards are finally here! In honor of Hollywood’s biggest night, we’ve rounded up five stars that we think are the one’s to look out for on the red carpet.
Starting off with an old favorite, Amy Adams has been killing it this award season for her work in American Hustle. All eyes were on her during the Golden Globes when she stepped out in a striking halter gown by Valentino and she continued to stun in a pretty pink gown by Roland Mouret at the Critics Choice Awards. But, it was her elegant blue dress by Antonio Berardi she wore to the SAG awards that really made her stand out. With Amy Adams stepping up her fashion game with every award show, we can’t help but think she’ll blow us all out of the water with her choice for the Oscars.
From classic movie star to newbie, Lupita Nyong’o has been giving A-list celebrities everywhere a run for their money while walking the red carpet for her breakout role in 12 Years A Slave. The Yale University graduate got everybody’s attention during the Golden Globes with her formfitting cape dress by Ralph Lauren, and just kept surprising us with unbelievably stunning gowns thereafter. From striking colors to renowned designers, we can’t wait to see what Lupita Nyong’o will amaze us with this award show.
While Jennifer Lawrence had a few hit and misses during her time promoting The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and gained mix reviews for the dress she wore to the Golden Globes for her American Hustle nomination, her gorgeous sequined dress by Dior at the SAG awards and the breathtaking Dior dress she wore when she won the Oscar last year makes us confident that she’ll completely stun at this years Academy Awards. Keeping our fingers crossed.
Although Margot Robbie may not be nominated for her part as Leonardo Dicaprio’s wife in The Wolf of Wall Street, her red carpet fashion choices have been absolutely flawless. She’s looked completely immaculate while promoting her movie around the world and her cream Gucci dress with embroidered emeralds and crystals during the Golden Globes became a fast favorite. Also, lets not forget that Elie Saab jumpsuit she wore to the Critics Choice Awards, which she absolutely nailed. There’s no doubt this Australian starlet will be looking impeccable this award show.
Gravity star Sandra Bullock started off this award season on the wrong foot with the Prabal Gurung color block gown she wore to the Golden Globes, but fortunately soon redeemed herself at the SAG awards when she wore a glowing green Lanvin dress. She continued to show she’s up on her fashion game when she showed up to the Critics Choice Awards in yet another gorgeous Lanvin gown with a jeweled belt. With her red carpet fashion getting better and better this award season, we’re looking forward to seeing what she’ll come out in at the Oscars.
